Total Non-Clinical Jobs in Q3

The most exciting news? We delivered an eye-popping 1,633 non-clinical jobs to The Non-Clinical Job Board in Q3! A significant increase from 1,232 jobs in Q2 and 1,029 jobs in Q1. Put another way, that’s a 32.5% increase over Q2 and a 58.7% increase over Q1!

Why the big jump? We’re confident that at least two of our efforts made a significant difference:

  1. The improved job-sourcing process: As our team has grown, we now have the infrastructure (read: a jobs engineer) dedicated to finding, curating, sorting, and posting non-clinical PT/OT/SLP jobs each week. In the past three months alone, we’ve expanded the list of job titles and companies we’re searching for while staying laser focused on delivering jobs that you have the best chances of landing.
  2. The expansion to include experienced jobs: While historically we’ve focused on sourcing mainly entry-level non-clinical roles, we made an intentional choice to begin including more mid-to-senior level roles on The Non-Clinical Job Board in September. Why? Because many of our Non-Clinical 101 students have successfully gone non-clinical and are looking for their next career step! We’ve also connected with multiple companies hiring folks into their second and even third non-clinical positions. Take this as your proof that non-clinical career growth is definitely possible! Also, stay tuned for a more detailed breakdown of entry-level vs. advanced jobs coming in Q4.

The main takeaway? There are opportunities out there right now!

While the job market as a whole has its ebbs and flows, it’s helpful to remember that we’re in our own niche. Non-clinical job seekers like you can gain a serious advantage by staying focused on your goal, understanding what’s happening in our corner of the job market, and taking action when opportunities arise.

Top Non-Clinical Jobs Titles in Q3

Now, here’s where it starts to get interesting. For the first two quarters of 2025, the job title of Clinical/Rehab Liaison snagged the top spot. But we’ve seen a big changeup in the rankings this quarter!

Case Manager

Coming in as the #1 job title in Q3 is Case Manager, with 24 unique job posts! This role often involves coordinating and managing care—a natural fit for rehab therapy pros with strong communication and organizational skills. Plus, a clinical license may come in handy, as licensure in PT, OT, and SLP is often preferred for the case management jobs we’re sourcing.

Speciality Account Manager

Holding on to its spot as the second most common job title in Q3 is Specialty Account Manager. This year, we’ve seen an increasingly steady presence of medical sales jobs landing on our job board, including roles like specialty account manager (21), solutions consultant (20), and medical device sales associate (18), all ranking in the top 10 job titles this quarter.

Sales might feel like a world away from clinical practice, but we’ve seen time and again how well therapists’ skills can translate into medical sales—often as a first non-clinical role with plenty of room for growth! Just look at Josh Mickle and Kellie McGee.

Clinical Informatics Specialist

Tying for second place with 21 unique job postings in Q3 is the job title of Clinical Informatics Specialist! This role combines problem solving, data analysis, communication, and technology to enhance clinical workflows and improve patient care. These specialists act as a liaison between IT professionals, engineers, and clinicians, so being a skilled communicator is key to success in clinical informatics.

Honorary Mentions

We also saw consistent demand for Patient Education Consultants (20 jobs), Talent Acquisition Specialists (17), and Clinical Navigators (16) on The Non-Clinical Job Board in Q3.

💡 The Non-Clinical PT Insight: Going from clinical to corporate can feel like learning a whole new language—and that includes job titles! Here’s your cheat sheet to help you understand the most common terms we’re seeing surface in non-clinical job titles today.

Associate/Assistant: Job titles that begin or end with “associate” or “assistant” usually mean they’re good starter jobs. While upskilling and gaining relevant experience before applying is always a fantastic idea, you might expect more on-the-job training in these types of roles.

Real example from The Non-Clinical Job Board (Starter Jobs): Upper Extremities Sales Associate.

Specialist: The term “specialist” means you have specific knowledge and experience that qualifies you for that role. Specialist roles fall slightly more on the experienced side, but don’t count yourself out yet. For example, you can be a specialist in the medical device industry simply because of your relevant clinical experience.

Real examples from The Non-Clinical Job Board: Clinical Specialist (Starter Jobs) vs. Senior Clinical Research Specialist (Mid-to-Senior Level Jobs).

Manager: This term has a dual purpose in job titles. You could manage a team of people (in a more advanced leadership role), or you could manage cases, projects, or other non-clinical responsibilities (which is more common in an entry-level role). Be sure to dig into the specific job description to see what’s required.

Real examples from The Non-Clinical Job Board: Customer Success Manager (Starter Jobs) vs. Clinical Training Manager (Mid-to-Senior Level Jobs).

Director: These roles are clearly defined as leadership roles in the non-clinical world, and Non-Clinical 101 students will find a number of them in the Mid-to-Senior Level section of The Non-Clinical Job Board.

Real example from The Non-Clinical Job Board (Mid-to-Senior Level Jobs): Director of Patient Outcomes.

One caveat before we move on: job titles can vary widely by industry and by company. It’s important to analyze the job description of each role you’re considering to gain a full understanding of the requirements. There’s no sense in applying for jobs you’re over- or underqualified for! The non-clinical job title alone may not tell you the whole story (unlike the clinical title of Physical Therapist…which is pretty straight forward 🙂).

Top Industries/Companies Hiring Rehab Professionals for Non-Clinical Careers

While the healthcare sector remains a significant source of non-clinical jobs this quarter, we’ve seen the technology sector rise to the top of industries hiring for non-clinical roles.

Are you surprised? This finding certainly caught our eye, but it makes sense. Healthcare as an industry remains strong—and this includes non-clinical healthcare roles. But technology has seen A LOT of growth in recent years. With the advent of artificial intelligence and ongoing advancements in rehab technology, there are opportunities abound.

The top companies hiring include major names we’ve seen before, like Stryker (106), Johnson & Johnson (81) and Tactile Medical (54).

💡 The Non-Clinical PT Insight: If you’re interested in technology and the medical device industry, there’s no better time to explore this field. Start by getting up to speed on the latest developments in artificial intelligence and rehab tech, then stay tuned for upcoming spotlights and live events exploring various avenues in healthtech!

👀 Never miss a posting from your dream employers! Simply request companies here. We’ll track and add their new, non-clinical jobs to our job board and weekly newsletter.

If you enjoy being on the go, then field positions (475 roles) provide the most numerous opportunities this quarter! We also found lots of in-person roles (457) if you crave face-to-face interaction with your coworkers.

Of course, remote work is still a highly sought after setting. We’re happy to have delivered the highest number of remote roles yet (269), up from 223 in Q1 and 181 in Q2.

💡 The Non-Clinical PT Insight: The rise of medical technology roles coincides with the rise in field positions on The Non-Clinical Job Board. Often, sales professionals work in the field to bring the latest technological developments to their ideal clients. These roles can be an excellent way to get your foot in the door of the medtech industry!

The Non-Clinical Skills Employers Are Searching For

Once again, the most common keyword held true quarter over quarter this year. “Care” showed up 898 times across all 1,633 job postings on The Non-Clinical Job Board in Q3. This reaffirms that your background in patient care is foundational to a successful non-clinical career—and that’s why hiring managers are seeking you out!

Another notable trend is the importance of relationship building and collaboration in non-clinical roles. Not only do these terms stand out in job postings, but we’ve heard directly from non-clinical hiring managers that they appreciate the interpersonal skills that PT/OT/SLP pros bring to the table.

Do any of these look familiar? These keywords speak to the value of your transferable skills as a rehab clinician. The trick is learning how to translate them effectively into your non-clinical resumes, cover letters, and interviews. As always, make sure the specific job posting keywords (and the experiences behind them) shine in your applications!

Act Fast! Jobs Are Expiring Quickly

It’s worth repeating this finding, which showed up consistently across all three quarters of 2025: non-clinical jobs do NOT stay open for long.

Our analysis showed that two out of every five jobs expire or were removed within just two weeks of being posted to The Non-Clinical Job Board. Since Non-Clinical 101 students get early access to jobs, this means they’re seeing about 40% more jobs than our free email subscribers.

So, what does this mean for you?

  1. Be prepared: Have your resume updated and tailored for the specific job you want. Understand what you’re looking for, so you know it when you see it.
  2. Act swiftly: When you see a role that excites you, don’t wait! Get that application in ASAP.
  3. For Non-Clinical 101 students: Leverage your two-week early access to jobs on our private job board. This is a huge advantage in a fast-moving market!

The market can be competitive, and employers often move quickly once they find qualified candidates. Being proactive in your job search is key.
