If you like reliability, then this will be music to your ears: we delivered 1,232 non-clinical jobs to The Non-Clinical Job Board in Q2, up from our previous count of 1,029 jobs in Q1!
And that’s not all that remains steady. The top job title for Q2 2025 is sure to be one that you recognize.
Clinical/Rehab Liaison
Coming in as the #1 job title for two quarters running is clinical rehab liaison! This total includes the job titles of Clinical Liaison (79 jobs), Clinical Rehab Liaison (14), and Rehab Liaison (12). This is a trend we will continue to monitor. This role often blends aspects of sales and marketing, with a strong emphasis on relationship building for effective case management.
Speciality Account Manager
This is where we start to see changes in the lineup. The second most common job title in Q2 turns out to be Specialty Account Manager. Looking back, we’ve seen a steady presence of medical sales jobs landing on our job board in 2025, including roles like specialty account manager (15) and clinical territory associate (12), both landing in the top 10 job titles for Q2.
Sales might feel a bit outside your comfort zone, but we’ve seen time and again how well therapists’ interpersonal skills can translate into medical sales. Just look at Adam Quire and Michelle Fritz.
Patient Education Consultant
Now patient education is a skill we’re all very familiar with. And if you want to stay connected to that aspect of clinical care, a role like patient education consultant (15 jobs) is a top contender on The Non-Clinical Job Board. It requires strong communication skills and a background in health education, which rehab pros are known for.
Honorary Mentions
We also saw consistent demand for Talent Acquisition Specialists (14 jobs), Clinical Specialists (12), and Care Transitions Coordinators (12) in Q2.
💡 The Non-Clinical PT Insight: There were 649 unique non-clinical job titles on the job board this quarter, including some you may have never heard of, like Clinical Content Specialist, Community Liaison, and Online Communities Program Specialist.
What does this tell us? Roles like clinical liaison and specialty account manager are in demand, but there are a wide variety of non-clinical job titles to be found. Remember your goal is to find the right job for YOU, which may or may not align with current trends.
Top Industries/Companies Hiring Rehab Professionals for Non-Clinical Careers

The top companies include major names you’ve heard of, like Stryker (94), Johnson & Johnson (56) and Tactile Medical (52).
💡 The Non-Clinical PT Insight: Similar to job titles, the list of top companies hiring doesn’t tell the whole story. In Q2, we sourced non-clinical jobs from 303 unique companies! Where Are the Non-Clinical Rehab Jobs? Location & Work Style Trends
Location is another data point that’s seen a surprising shake-up this quarter.
In Q2, the top location type on The Non-Clinical Job Board is field positions (434 roles) with in-person roles ringing in a total of 392. We still saw a good number of fully remote roles in Q2 (181), which is slightly down from the total in Q1 (223).
💡 The Non-Clinical PT Insight: We noticed a significant rise in technology and sales-related positions in Q2, directly leading to an increase in field-based roles.
It’s no surprise that sales professionals frequently work remotely or on the go; these flexible setups are standard for their roles. This overall shift points to a growing trend toward more dynamic work environments within the non-clinical sector.
Another point for consistency in Q2: the location of non-clinical jobs continues to be most concentrated in highly populated states like Florida (122 jobs), Texas (109) and California (103). For those of us in less populous states, we continue to see a relatively proportional number of jobs on The Non-Clinical Job Board.
The Non-Clinical Skills Employers Are Searching For
We peeked into each and every job summary to see which keywords showed up over and over. The absolute winner? “Care” showed up 569 times (Q1 was 694 times). Clearly, there are ways to stay in healthcare (outside of direct patient care) and continue to do good in the world!
This affirms that your background in patient care, even if you’re moving away from direct treatment, is foundational in a non-clinical career.

Do any of these sound familiar? 😉 Chances are, you use many of these skills every single day as a rehab clinician. The trick is learning how to translate them effectively onto your non-clinical resume and cover letter. Make sure these keywords (and the experiences behind them) shine in your applications!
Act Fast! Timing is Everything
Here’s a crucial takeaway worth repeating from Q1: these jobs do NOT stay open for long.
Our analysis showed that a significant chunk of jobs (around 42%) expired or were removed within just two weeks of being posted.
